What will each session involve?
Pregnancy Massage involves a combination of techniques such as Swedish, Acupressure, Deep Tissue and Indian Head Massage, Shiatsu and Lymphatic Drainage. Each 90-minute session may include a full consultation, massage, gentle stretching and exercises, breathing and visualisation techniques, and an end of session review.
What position will I be lying in?
Pregnancy Massage is undertaken in the side-lying position, with your body fully supported with special cushioning and appropriate draping for your optimum comfort. We do not use a table or cushions that allow the mother to lay on her front as there is no need to.
